Kenneth E. Ahrens, 75, of York, died at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday at York County Nursing Home.

The service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Workinger-Semmel Funeral Home Inc., 849 E. Market St., York. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Ahrens was born Feb. 6, 1923, in York County. He was the son of the late Edward L. and Ozella (Alloway) Ahrens.

He was a self-employed painting contractor, retiring after 15 years of service. He was also a truck driver at the former Red Lion Transportation Co. for seven years. He was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church in Dover, American Legion Post 127 and Fraternal Order of Eagles York Aerie 183. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Mr. Ahrens is survived by two daughters, Patsy M. Ryan of Wellsville and Linda L. Grove of Williamsport; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert E. Ahrens of Red Lion; and a sister, Betty A. Barshinger of Red Lion.

Officiating at the service will be his pastor, the Rev. Rodney I. Richesson.
