Agnes M. Stanton, age 74 of Milford, died Saturday, August 9, 2008. Miss Stanton was born in Milford, January 30, 1934 to the late Leo and Marie Keough Stanton and was a lifelong Milford resident. She was a cashier at Shop-Rite for seven years, was employed by Chapin & Bangs in Bridgeport for many years, worked at Bank Mart and various other places of employment through temporary agencies. Survivors include three sisters, Barbara Fabula and Charlotte Falaguerra and her husband, Emmanuel, all of Stratford and Margaret (Peggy) Cowan of West Haven and many nieces and nephews. Miss Stanton was predeceased by a brother, Richard Stanton and by a sister, Marie Jane Christensen. Friends are invited to attend the funeral Tuesday at 9 a.m. in St. Ann Church, Naugatuck Avenue, Milford, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Milford. Friends may call Monday 4 to 7 p.m. in The Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Swim Across the Sound, c/o St. Vincent Medical Center, Bridgeport, Ct. 06606 in Miss Stanton's memory.
