Funeral Services will be held for Mrs. Mattie Lee Jones, 61, of MacArthur, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, 1968, in the William Funeral Home Chapel at MacArthur, with Rev. Jackie Clark in charge. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Jones died in a local hospital at 5:45 p.m. Saturday, July 13, after a long illness.

She was a daughter of George and Bell Armstrong. Survivors include her husband, Gilbert, of MacArthur; five sons, Rev. James Jones of Jacksonville, N. C.; Rev. Lewis Jones of Beckley; Wayne Steve of Kopperston; Sgt. Robert Jones with the U.S. Army at Fairbanks, Alaska; and Donald at home; three daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Mary) Blevins of Crab Orchard; Mrs. Glen (Charlene) Moran of Beckley; and Mrs. Jimmy (Shirley) Pendry of Marianna; three sisters, Mrs. W. B. Jones of Crab Orchard; Mrs. Ed Harris of Chilhowie, Va.; and Mrs. Minnie Matheny of Marion, Va.; and 18 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Ellison, Johnny, Eugene, Donald, Ross, and Curtis Jones.
