Jan Peter Hess 72, of Harrisburg, died Friday, March 11, 2016 at Community General Osteopathic Hospital.

He was born in Baltimore, Maryland the son of the late James Frederick and Anna Mae (McCavitt) Hess.

Jan was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the U.S. Air Force.

He was retired from Lower Paxton Township.

Jan is survived by his wife of eighteen years: Mary (Karl) Hess.
