EVAN POWELL
Evan Powell, 43, of 50 Woodward Street, Parsons, died at noon yesterday in General Hospital, where he was admitted yesterday morning at 10:25.
A lifelong resident of Parsons, Mr. Powell was employed at Prospect Colliery , of Lehigh Valley Coal Company. He was a member of Parsons Baptist Church, the Quoit and Social Club and the Clover Club, of Parsons.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. May Fassett, of Bethlehem, and three brothers, Thomas of Huntington Mills; Roy and Arthur, both of Wilkes-Barre.
The funeral will be held from the home on Saturday afternoon at 2. Rev. Willard Edmunds, pastor of Parsons Baptist Church, will officiate, and interment will be in Memorial Shrine Cemetery.
