Nancy L. Burris, 79, of Columbus, passed peacefully away on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 at Mt. Carmel East, surrounded by her loving family. Nancy was born on December 14, 1933 to Robert and Nora Griffin. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, who touched the hearts of everyone she knew. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her family and dozens of friends. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Billy Bob. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert E. Burris; her son, Steve (Joetta) Burris; daughter, Susie (Curt) Barger; grandchildren, Katie, Kyle and Jacob Barger; sister, Martha Sutherland; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. It was Nancy's wish that there be no visitation or funeral service. Just remember her in your hearts and prayers. Memorial contributions, if desired, may be sent to the Christopher Hauser Athletic Fund in care of Bishop Hartley High School, 1285 Zettler Rd., Columbus, Oh 43227.
