Paul Scottland Dehart, age 70, of Forestry Ridge Road, Morehead, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.


He was born June 2, 1945, in Morehead, a son of the late Levi Dehart and Vada Jones Dehart. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Midford and Atley Dehart, and one grandson, Ronald Paul Fraley.


Paul is survived by six children: Mark Dehart of Flemingsburg, Paula Hatton of West Liberty, Tresa Hignite of Olive Hill, Lesa Morris of Winchester, Connie Easterling of Morehead, and Eric Dehart of Morehead; 13 grandchildren; and 23 grandchildren.


Other survivors include two brothers, Eddie Dehart and Ray Dehart, both of Morehead; four sisters, Eunice Richardson and Virginia Rutherford, both of Mooresville, Indiana, Margaret Cox of Morehead and Fern Williams of Chesapeake, Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.


Paul was a self-employed heavy equipment operator who had also worked for Walker and Addington construction companies. He loved the outdoors, all types of dozers, riding horses and motorcycles.


Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with Bro. David Rayburn officiating. Burial will follow in the Dehart Cemetery on Forestry Ridge Road.


Pallbearers: Johnathon Hudson, Randy Brown, Dwayne Dehart, Dana Fultz, Rex Clark, Ronnie Williams, Chris Gilliam, Frankie Butler


Visitation is 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2016, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals in Morehead.
