NILES - Patsy (Pat) Jean Cain (Rhea) of Niles, MI was born April 7, 1941 in Truman, AK and passed away peacefully at home after a brave battle with cancer at the age of 74.

She graduated from Hammond Technical Vocational High School June 12th, 1959. On August 15, 1959, she married Jack Coffman who preceded her in death. After staying home to raise her girls, she took a position as Site Administrator for International Paper which she enjoyed until she retired in 2000 from her position after (12) years. Pat married Dan Cain February 22nd, 1997 in a beautiful ceremony in Las Vegas surrounded by family. They shared a mutually deep love and special bond.

She was an avid bowler on WIBC League, winning several league championships and enjoyed traveling to tournaments and the friendships she made along the way. She was also a long standing member of the Lakeville Chapter #479, Order of Eastern Star. In her retirement years she enjoyed playing bridge, reading, joining family and friends for luncheons, discussing politics and quiet time at home on the patio with her husband. She and her husband enjoyed their winter escapes to their home in Chandler, AZ and hosting family gatherings together in their MI home. She, along with her siblings, were caregivers of her 98 year old mother. Pat was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, daughter-in-law, aunt and friend. She was a kind and thoughtful soul and made the life of those fortunate enough to know her better.

Survived by (Left to cherish her memory are) her devoted husband, Danny Cain of Niles, MI; mother, Maggie Rhea of Crown Point, IN; mother-in-law, Georgieanna Robinson of South Bend, IN; three daughters, Dawn (Reg) Mabey of Glasgow, KY, Penny (Bill) Farr of London, England and Kelly (Steve) Hirschler of Granger, IN; two step-daughters, Danielle Cain of Chandler, AZ and Sara (Drew) Moore of Gilbert, AZ; two sisters, Barbara (Stephen) McWilliams of Houston, TX and Carolyn (Steve) Budzik of Valparaiso, IN, a brother, Douglas (Buddy) Rhea of Hammond, IN; six grandchildren, Nicole Hirschler of Indianapolis, IN, AJ Hirschler of Granger, IN, Cheyenne and Colton Mabey of Glasgow, KY and Davin and Mabel Moore of Gilbert, AZ; and loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by late husband, Jack Coffman, father, Frank Rhea, her sister, Peggy Able and stepfather-in-law, Berry Rodney Robinson.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the nurses at Memorial Hospital, Always Best Care Services, and Heartland Hospice for the loving care they so tenderly gave during this time.

Family and friends will be received from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 24th, at Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 25th, at the funeral home, with Rev. Garry Fisher officiating, with a luncheon immediately following.
