Ronald Cleaborn Curry, 97, of 1243 Boles Road, New Market, died Sunday at his residence. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Laughlin Service Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Donnie Hillis officiating. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery. Mr. Curry was the oldest member of Union Grove Baptist Church and a charter member of the Hazel Green Optimist Club. He was a member of the Hazel Green PTA and Booster Club and was an honorary coach of the Hazel Green girls softball team.
Survivors include five daughters, Nellie M. Sharp, Alma Dean Campbell, and Doyce Hillis, all of Huntsville, Thelma Jean of Fayetteville, Tenn., and Winona Curry of San Leandro, Calif.; three sons, Cecil Curry of Huntsville, Theo Curry of Ardmore, and John Curry of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two brothers, M O. Curry of Birmingham and Alfie B. Curry of McClenny, Fla.; 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
