Lou Chapman was born to Carl and Hazel Chilton on March 5th in Devol, Oklahoma 1934. She graduated from Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City in 1952. Lou was a smart and strong and intelligent individual who was an avid reader, music lover, bird lover and published poet. She chose the career of medical transcription while raising three children from her first marriage and two grandchildren. She met and married Homer Chapman in 1969, who preceded her in death by 30 years. Lou is survived in life by three children Diane, Larry and Alan; seven grandchildren Tommy, Dustin, Eric , Nathan, Lauren, Bradley, Mark and Raymie; 15 great grandchildren; her sister Shirley and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a host of friends who loved her dearly.
