Marlene Joy (Lieser) Campbell 73, of Sherman Church Rd., Bolivar, Ohio passed away Monday evening, May 15, 2012, in Aultman Hospital at Canton lovingly surrounded by her family. She had operated and worked at Marlene's Pizza Shop in Bolivar for over twenty years. Born Feb. 9, 1939, in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Carl J. and Maxine K. (McCarthy) Lieser. Marlene formerly attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover and was a 1957 graduate of St. Joseph High School. She was a member of the Bolivar Army Navy Garrison.
Survivors include four sons, Gerald W. Barker and Michael A. Barker, both of Bolivar, Thomas C. (Daphne) Barker of New Cumberland, and Robert C. Barker of New Philadelphia; one daughter, Sally Jo Campbell of New Philadelphia; four grandchildren, Brennan and Jordan Barker, Ashley (Barker) Burky, and Chelsea Barker; and one great-granddaughter, Cadie Burky. In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by an infant son and four sisters, Mary Katherine Schaar, Pat Schweitzer, Peggy Lieser, and Sandra Dallacheisa along with two brothers, John and Bill Lieser.
Deacon Ron Fondriest will officiate funeral services on Monday, May 21, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover. Interment will be in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. A reception will follow in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center.
