She was born in Sandy Ridge, daughter of Sylvester and Christiana (Nelson) Cowher. In Jan. 1929, she married Robert R. Walters in Pittsburgh, and he preceded her in death Feb. 23, 1989.
Surviving are a grandson, Carl Anderson; a great-grandchild, August C. Anderson; and a son-in-law, Ronald Anderson.
She was preceded in death by an infant son; a daughter, Michelle Anderson; and 14 siblings.
Jessie used to play the organ for silent movie pictures, and she enjoyed collecting antiques.
There will be no viewing or service. Entombment will be at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
