Brent McDonald was born in Atlantic, Iowa and moved to Pittsburg, CA in 1955. Graduated from Pittsburg High School. Served in the Army in Germany for three years. Graduated with a BA in Business/Political Science from California State University Stanislaus. Married blind date, Sharon Jones, in 1973. They had 45 wonderful years together. He was a purchasing manager/logistics for industrial and engineering companies in Turlock and Escalon.

Survived by wife, Sharon, brother Richard (Claudette), many loving nieces and nephews, many great nieces and nephews.

He and Sharon did a lot of camping and fishing in the early years. Then moved on to sailing in the Delta, Bay and the coast of California. They enjoyed about 30 years of fun and friends at the Stockton Sailing Club. He especially enjoyed refurbishing an older sail boat; varnishing teak, remodeling the interior, waxing and polishing the hull. He finally got his wish of owning a 1987 Porsche for a few years.

Brent's wit and humor made him a quiet but endearing part of any gathering. He could read people's personalities and assess situations very accurately. These things made him a good manager, sailing club Board of Director and condominium Board president; a good and loyal friend.
