Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Walter “Page” Smith; second husband, Lloyd Evans; son, Joseph E. Smith; and her brother, Willard Belknap.
Vivian retired as head cook at Bloom Elementary School after 25 year of service. She was a member of the Bloom Township Volunteer Firemen’s Auxiliary, worked many of the annual fish fry’s and trained and served as a volunteer EMT. She was also a past treasurer of the Bloom Township Community Crisis Fund. Vivian was a member of Lithopolis United Methodist Church for 45 years and served as a choir member and on many church committees. Vivian was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She also loved her many dogs and cats through the years. She bred and sold chinchillas for about 15 years. Vivian loved doing handcrafts, sewing, cooking, baking, playing cards, and helping others. She also served as a caregiver to many family members over the years.
Vivian is survived by her children, Marilyn (Gary) Ripley, Gary (Avis) Smith; daughter-in-law, Patricia (Joe) Smith; grandchildren, Theresa (Scott) Richardson, Susan (Greg) Ripley, Kerri Lynn Balog, Jason (Amber) Smith, and Scott Smith; great-grandchildren, Sara (Micah), Zack, Mikaylie, and Austin; brothers, Nolan Belknap and Doran Belknap; sister, Clara Houchard; sister-in-law, Ruth Belknap; extended family, Robert (Melody) Evans, Richard Evans, and Suzan (Larry) Stevens; caregiver and best friend, Helen Cicatiello; nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Friends may visit from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday at the Lithopolis United Methodist Church, 80 Market St., Lithopolis, OH 43136, where a funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday.
Interment at Lithopolis Cemetery. Those who wish may donate to Lithopolis United Methodist Church in Vivian's memory.
