Ricky Allan Thompson, 57, a longtime Rush County resident passed away at his home in Rushville, Saturday, March 19, 2016.
Rick was born on January 12, 1959 in Rushville to Richard L. Thompson deceased and Chyrel (Whittaker) Bergen.
Rick married Melissa A. Woods (Jacobs) on January 17, 2012 and she survives.
He served 6years in the Ohio National Guard with Honorable Discharge.
Rick worked 27 years at Thomas Products Printing in Millville, OH, until the doors closed. Rick then drove a truck and also worked as a yard dog driver at One Solution Logistics in Greensburg until his illness. Rick was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Rushville; he enjoyed fishing, going to the races and spending time with his boys.
In addition to his wife Melissa of Rushville, Rick is survived by his mother, Chyrel (Whittaker) Bergen and step dad, Fred Bergen of Connersville, step mother, Patricia Thompson of Ross, OH, 2 sons, Jonathan Tyler Thompson and Ricky A, Thompson Jr. both of Rushville, step son Cody Woods of Rushville, step daughter Katie Woods and partner Mike Martin of Arlington, IN, sister, Toni (Earl) Tobias of Dillsboro, IN, half-sister, Sheila Thompson of Hamilton, OH, half-brother, Darren (Elizabeth) Thompson of Cincinnati, OH, 3 step brothers, Robert (Sheila) Shifflett of Cincinnati, OH, Brian (Annie) Bergen of Shelbyville, and Jason Bergen, 4 step sisters, Beth (Mike Stapleton of Connersville, Tonya Rowe of Kokomo, Jennifer (Bob) Bowman of Brookeville, and Denise Shifflet of Millville, OH, grandmother Mildred Chrisadollo, of Georgia and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
