SOUTH BEND - Jean Rubin, born July 10, 1928 in South Bend, passed away March 20, 2016 after an extended illness. He is survived by his wife of almost 66 years, Phyllis (Flamm); his daughter, Ellyn Joy of Atlanta, GA; his son, Daniel Ray (Shellie) of Venice, FL; his grandchildren, Aaryn Rubin (Dr. Ephraim Hollander) of Bronx, NY, Nathan Rubin (Arielle Sosland of Brooklyn, NY); and his great-grandchildren, Moshe, Dovy and Hannah Hollander.

Jean was pre-deceased by his parents, Harold and Lena, brother, Arthur and son, Joseph Flamm Rubin. Jean was the sole proprietor of Niles Lawn & Garden in Niles, Michigan for over 20 years. He was a member of Hebrew Orthodox Congregation and acted as videographer for many special events. Jean also was a long time volunteer in the REAL Services Guardianship program.

Funeral services will be TODAY, Monday, 1 pm in the chapel at the Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery, Mishawaka with Rabbi Meir Bulman officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hebrew Orthodox Congregation or REAL Services.
