She was born on August 30, 1957 in Tiffin, Ohio, a daughter of the late Jacob Edward and Janice Lynn Fairs Mitchell.
Sue attended and graduated from high school in Ohio. She honorably served her country in the U.S. Army including 12 years in the reserve. Mrs. Cooper was a 1985 graduate of Word of Life Bible Institute. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Dominion College. She worked for several years as an Occupational Therapist for the Saratoga County BOCES. Sue was a charter member of the Congregation of the Adirondack Baptist Church and was actively involved with the Operation Christmas Child Program. She was also actively involved with the Sacandaga Bible Conference and Gideons Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband Thomas W. Cooper, whom she married on October 24, 1987; two stepsons Jeffery Cooper and Jonathan Cooper, both of Denton, Texas, one brother Gary Mitchell of North Ridgeville, Ohio, one sister Sheri (Mitchell) Zajac of Olmsted, Ohio; three step-grandchildren Megan, Tyler and Austin and two step great grandchildren Julianna and Jalen, and a niece Nicole Mitchell.
Interment will be in the Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
