Blanche Georgianna Shover, 88, died Saturday, Oct. 17, 1998, in the Burlington Health and Rehab. Center. She was born in Burlington on June 8, 1910, the daughter of the late Leslie and Deloise (Brunet) Morrison. She was a graduate of Burlington High School. Mrs. Shover was a cook for the food service at the G.E. plant in Burlington and also at UVM. She was a member of St. Joseph Church in Burlington. Blanche was an active member of the V.F.W. Auxilliary. She is survived by her three children, Beverly Weldon of Chicopee, Mass., Patricia Stitely of Highland, Calif., and Kenneth Shover of Connecticut; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, three sisters, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Gordon Shover, in March 1972. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 20, 1998, at 11:30 a.m., in Lakeview Cemetery, Burlington. A Memorial Mass will be held in Chicopee, Mass., at a later date. Corbin and Palmer Funeral Home, 71 South Union St., Burlington, in charge of arrangements.
