Leland DARREL Grigsby, 76, was born April 20, 1939 in Anthony, KS to Leonard R. and Hazel D. (Fix) Grigsby of Attica, KS. He died March 18th at the Harper Hospital.

Darrel graduated from Attica High School and then attended a technical school in Kansas City for diesel and gas engine repair. He retired from farming and mechanics in 2014.

Darrel married Leona Simpson Grigsby on July 15, 1978 in Wichita, KS and they resided in Harper, KS. He was a member of the Harper United Methodist Church and Flatlander’s Model T Club.

His hobbies included photography, trains (especially steam engines), and restoring antique tractors.

Darrel was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and brother-in-law Roger Kirk. Survivors include his wife Leona; sister Melinda Kirk of Wichita; nephews John Kirk of Topeka, KS and Steven Kirk, wife Kate, and great-nephews Samual and Zackary of St George, KS. He will also be missed by many cousins and friends.

Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 23rd at the Harper United Methodist Church with Pastor Jerred Haydock officiating. Burial will follow at the Attica, KS Cemetery.
