Mrs. Lillie May Wharton, Visitor from Iowa, Dies
Mrs. Lillie May Wharton, a visito in Colorado Springs, died Sunday morning in a local hospital. Mrs. Wharton, whose home was in Oskaloosa, Iowa, was visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. A.C. (Maude) Rhinehart, of this city when she become ill. She was born in What Cheer, Iowa, Aug. 8, 1878, and resided in Iowa all of her life. She was the widow of Robert Wharton, who died seven years ago. Mrs. Wharton was a member of the First Methodist Church of Oskaloosa. She leaves the following: Two sisters, Mrs. A.C. Rhinehart, Colorado Springs, and Mrs. Elda Adams, What Cheer, Iowa; two brothers, Charles Beach, Sigourney, Iowa, and Howard Beach, Miami, Fla., and several nephews and nieces, including Mrs. Ernest Smith of this city. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the First Methodist Church, Oskaloosa. The Law Mortuary is in charge of local arrangements.
