Daughter of S.S. and Emma Fry Bennehoff, she was single, a clerk, lived in Jackson Township, Mercer County, PA, died there of influenza, per death certificate 55444, whose informant was A. A. McElhaney of Franklin. Buried May 19 1928.

Franklin News-herald, Friday, May 18 1928:
Miss Leota Dewey Bennehoff, 30, of 1319 Myrtle Street, died suddenly of an attack of influenza at 11:35 am Thursday in Jackson Center, where she had gone to visit with friends. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Bennehoff, born in Cherrytree Township February 27, 1898.

For the greater part of her life whe loved in franklin.

Surviving are her parents; four sisters, Mrs. Arthur McElhaney of Franklin, Mrs. William Jones of Chicago, IL, Mrs. George Beardshall of Chicago, and Mrs. Robert Rose of Dallas, TX; a brother, Samuel S. Bennehoff Jr. of Pittsburgh; three half-sisters, Mrs. Oliver Drake of Lawrenceville, IM (?), Mrs. Harry Henry of Townville, and Mrs. Fred Ferson of Polk.

Services will be at the home at 2 pm Monday, Barren Chapel in charge.
