Victor Ernest Lee, 92, passed away on March 16, 2016 at Bedford Care Center of Hattiesburg. Mr. Lee was born on June 19, 1923, in Dayton, OH. He proudly served in the United States Navy in a Marine Corps attachment in the WWII Pacific Theater, and was honorably discharged with the rank of PhM 1/c. While in the service, he met and married his love, Ruth Boudreaux Lee, in Houma, LA on April 16, 1945. After the war, Mr. Lee attended the University of Oklahoma and worked as a pharmacist for Eli Lilly for 32 years. After his retirement, he worked at several Hattiesburg area pharmacies, most recently, at Ward's Pharmacy in Ellisville.
Mr. Lee is survived by his wife of 71 years; a daughter, Virginia Dann(Charles); a son, Victor Lee, Jr. (Anne); a grandson, Mason Lee, and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-6:00pm on Monday, March 21, 2016, at Forrest Funeral Home with a Military Honors Ceremony at 6:00
