Francis J Creegan
Francis J Creegan, 54, Chief Dispatcher of the Western Maryland here, died early last night in Memorial Hospital after suffering a stroke about 1:15 p.m. at his home, 608 Louisiana Ave. Mr Creegan was born in Midland, a son of Lucy (Simpson) and the late Edward Creegan. He had been employed by the railroad for 40 years. He was a member of Cumberland Lodge 63, BPOE Elks and the Order of Railway Telegraphers. Surviving besides his mother and widow, the former Elsie Reuschel, are a daughter, Mrs Harold Warner, York, Pa; a son, William J Creegan, USMC, Quanico, Va; five brothers, Bernard, Jerome and John Creegan, city; Edward Creegan, Davis and Gerald Creegan, Steubenville, Ohio and three sisters, Mrs Bertha Burns and Mrs William McKenzie, city and Mrs Edward Miller, Washington. The body is at the Hafer Funeral Home where services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. by Rev Dr Hixon T Bowersox, pastor of St Paul's Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Hillcrest Burial Park. Elks Lodge 63 will hold rites tomorrow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
