Sharon M. Wise, 74 of Elkhart, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 18, 2016 at Elkhart General Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was born Sept. 23, 1941 to Amzie and Ethel M. (Archer) Dunithan in Foraker, IN. She married Timothy G. Wise on May 28, 1961 in Elkhart. He survives along with a son, Alan (Patty) Wise of Goshen and a daughter, Alicia Wise of Auburn, IN; 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, a brother, Amzie Dunithan Jr. and a sister, Shirley (Pat) Leslie both of Elkhart.
Sharon graduated from Elkhart High School and worked for 45 years for the Kent Company in Data Entry and retired in 2006 from Al-Ko where she worked in customer service.
She was a member of the Hallmark Collector’s Club and was an avid reader and enjoyed doing Sudoku puzzles. In 1981-1982 she hosted an exchange student from Finland.
Visitation for Sharon was from 11 am to 1 pm Wednesday, March 23rd at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, where services began at 1 pm following visitation. Interment followed at Rice Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Humane Society of Elkhart County.
