Funeral Service for Sarah Earl Fletcher, 82, of Chickasha, will be Friday, July 24, 2009 at 10:30 am at the Grand Assembly of God church. Rev. Larry Hatfield will officiate.

Sarah was born on July 10, 1927 to Ben F. Henderson and Nora Mae Dutton in Marlow. She died on July 21, 2009 in Chickasha.

Sarah married Lawrence C. Fletcher on March 7, 1942 in Anadarko. She spent her life beside her husband farming and raising their children. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, gardening, fishing, going to bluegrass festivals, and watching OU sports and wrestling. Sarah retired from Pet Milk after 13 years. She was blessed with a very special gift of caring for the terminally ill. She will always be remembered by her family for making the best peach cobblers and fried chicken every Sunday.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother, Coy Henderson. Survivors include: Brother: Harry Henderson and wife Melva of Stratford, Daughter: Faye Watkins and husband Jerry of Lindsay, Daughter: Utonia Calhoun and husband J.E. of Ninnekah, Son: Vel Fletcher and wife Mary of Muskogee, Son: Ronnie Fletcher and wife Kay of Guthrie, Daughter: Connie McConnell and husband Stan of Chickasha, Son: Tommy Fletcher of Chickasha, Seventeen Grand children and thirty Great-grandchildren, Numerous nieces, nephews, and other family.
