Charley Cooper Turnage, 83, was called home from this life on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at his residence in Silver Creek, MS. Charley was born December 12, 1932 in Kokomo, MS to William Cooper and Annie Holmes Turnage.

There will be a time of visitation from 5:00pm to 9:00pm, Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at Wilson Funeral Home with funeral services on Wednesday March 23, 2016 at 2pm. The graveside service will be held in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Dr. Dave Caves will be conducting the services.

Charley served his country in the Vietnam War and also served in the North African Conflict. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and four wheeling. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and he loved doing missionary work. He was a Master Mason and member of the Silver Creek Lodge.

Surviving Charley are his children: Curtis Turnage and wife Linda of Silver Creek, Charles Turnage and wife Yumi of Raleigh N.C. and Leila Sutton and husband Brian of Silver Creek. Numerous Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Proceeding him in death are his parents William Cooper Turnage and Annie Holmes Phillips, wife: Catherine Turnage and daughter Mary McPhail.
