OPELOUSAS- Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Opelousas for 1LT Carolyn Ann Youngblood aka "Baby Carolyn" who passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at South Texas Veteran Health Care System Polytrauma Rehabilitation Center in San Antonio, TX. Interment will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Opelousas.

1LT Carolyn Youngblood a native of Opelousas and resident of Lawton, OK was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church where Rev. Joel Greene Sr. serves as pastor. She was a graduate of Opelousas Senior High of 2006, Northwestern State University, 2010 and Northwestern State University ROTC 2010.
She was pursuing a Master of Arts in National Security Studies from the American Military University. She was active in the 2ND Battalion, 4th Field Artillery Regiment, 75TH Field Artillery Brigade Fort Still, OK.

Chaplain (CPT) Michael McGruder of Fort Still, OK will be officiating the funeral services.

1LT Carolyn Youngblood is survived by her husband, CPT Rayfield Youngblood Jr. of Lawton, OK; her father, Craig Thomas Jolivette of Florida City, FL; and her mother Darlene Hayes Jolivette of Opelousas; one son, Xavier Ray Youngblood of Jackson, MS; one daughter, Xoie Rae Youngblood of Lawton, OK; two step brothers, Shane Wheeler (Jessica) and Gregory Wheeler both of Sunset; her mother-in-law, Hessie Mcclain of Mississippi; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Isabella Andrus Hayes, paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard and Shirley Robert Jolivette; and Troy Ambeau.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday, December 5, 2015 from 7:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m at Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
