Payne, Marion Louise "Ikey"
Age 82 passed away on Saturday March 19, 2016 at Spectrum Health of Grand Rapids. Marion was born in Grand Rapids where she attended Kelloggsville High School and was voted prettiest girl in the class. Ikey was preceded in death by her mother Mary Reed (Miller), brothers Stewart and Herschel Junior Miller, daughter-in-law Aisha Payne and special friend Tim Cichon. Ikey was married to Robert Payne (deceased) with whom she raised 3 sons, Robert (Kaire) Payne, Chris Payne and fiancé Michelle Elkins, Scott (Judi) Payne. She is survived by her grandchildren, Kelly (Todd) Botma, Rob Payne, Michele (Matt) Sorensen, Melissa Payne, Christina (Phillip) Payne and great grandchildren Kailey (Dustin) Botma, Caleb Burdick, Bradyn Tinker, Madison Payne, great great grandchildren Cole Burdick and many nieces and nephews. Special friends, Patricia Payne, Donna Morris, Pat Wickham, Shirley Keebler.
Ikey blessed her family with great memories, her wisdom, her love, and most of all her heart. She lived and loved everyone without condition. Her beauty radiates from her soul, her smile, and from her words of kindness. Ikey enjoyed quality time with her family in Florida, Traverse City, Mackinac Island, and winning big at the casinos. Whenever Ikey wouldn spend time with her grandchildren she would remind them of how proud she was and how much she loved them. She always infroduced her grandchildren as her beauties and her movie stars. Ikey was one of a kind and she could out bling everyone. Our memories will never fade; her heart and spirit will live on and she will be deeply missed. A celebration of her life will be held 11:00AM Saturday March 26, 2016 at the Stegenga Funeral Chapel - Wyoming, 3131 S. Division Ave. Her family will greet relatives and friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral chapel. Interment will take place at Rest Lawn Memorial Park.
