Joseph Augustus Church, 78, died March 18, 2016 at Hospice of Laurens County.

A native of Great Falls, Montana, he was a son of the late John and Josephine Meister Church.

Joe was born with the disability of being unable to speak. He is now in heaven speaking to Jesus and all of his loved ones. Joe will be remembered by all who knew him by his bright eyes and beautiful smile.

Surviving are one brother, Eugene Church (June) of Greenville; one half-brother, Johnny Church (Tammy) of New Jersey; three sisters, Pat Forrester (Randall), Shirley Marlow and Barbara Johnson all of Taylors; one half-sister, Debra Elliott (Dean); and several nieces and nephews.

Joe was predeceased by one brother, John Church, Jr.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Monday at Whitten Center Chapel, conducted by Chaplain Jeff Sager. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Visitation will be held 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday at The Wood Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Whitten Center Parents Club c/o Marlene Woods, 304 Dixon St., Clinton, SC 29325.
