Kenneth was born on December 24, 1941, in Springfield, Ohio, to John J. and Jane W. (Brodbeck) Gamble. He proudly served his country for 23 years in the Air National Guard. He was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, life member of the American Legion Post 16 and a life member of the Air Force Association. He had retired from Alterra Assisted Living as head cook. Kenneth enjoyed collecting coins, gardening and cooking.
He is survived by two sons, Scott Gamble (Chris Haser) of Riverside, RI, and Michael Gamble of Springfield, OH; two grandchildren, Kaleb Gamble and Cameron Gamble; two great-grandchildren, Liam Gamble and Olivia Gamble; and three brothers, Larry (Shirley) Gamble and John (Pam) Gamble of Springfield, OH, and David (Sharon) Gamble of Wisconsin.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Doris; and his brother, Jim Gamble.
Calling hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2016 at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 68 Park Ave. East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church, with Pastor Jared Ruark officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd, Rittman, OH. Werner Gompf Funeral Services is handling the arrangements.
