Johnny Ray Chapman, age 66, of Bristol, Tenn. went to be with The Lord on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Bristol Regional Medical Center. Johnny was born April 28, 1949 in Bristol, Virginia, a son of the late William Erwin and Bernice Lawson Chapman. He was a lifelong resident of the Bristol area where he had worked as a painter. Mr. Chapman was a member of Charity Pentecostal Holiness Church and was an avid outdoorsman. He is also preceded in death by three brothers, and five sisters. Survivors include his daughters, Lydia Blair and husband, Shannon, Lydia Webb, and Kim Coalson; son, Johnny Webb and wife, Jessica; sisters, Linda, Glenna, Peggy, Margaret, Virginia, and Violet; brothers, Gene, Richard, Jerry, Danny, and Lynn; four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Mr. Chapman will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Miller officiating. The committal service and interment will follow in Susong Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3:45 p.m. Sunday, prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Weaver Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses. Online condolences may be registered by visiting www.weaverfuneralhome.net.
