Family history says that her name was Sully. This was often anglicized to "Sally," though not by her. Since Sally is a common knickname for Sarah, that is what ended up on the tombstone.*Sarah was called Sully by her family but her real name was Solly, she was the mother of 5 sons and 1 daughter, and the beloved wife to Solomon Dill Sutton, she is European and some amount of native american from her father and mostly English from her mother, with some Scottish, and smaller amounts of French and Eastern Algonquian.

On her tombstone it says

"Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God"

She died from cancer on her face. This is my ggg grandmother! She was born in Tennessee before the Civil War! Her father was Chief Alexander Firebush later changed to Forbes! Her mother was a white woman named Temperance Moore Burke Firebush Forbes! Her parents died in Tennessee before the Civil War! And when the government began moving the people to Oklahoma, the Sutton family came to Fort Belknap, Texas! Where Solly died of cancer! Her husband and sons went to Doxie, Carter, Oklahoma!
