Mr. George was born Nov. 29, 1950, and passed away March 17, 2016. He was a member of Paron Baptist Church and was a retired game warden with the State of Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Department.
Mr. George was preceded in death by his parents, Rex and Josie George.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Wells George; daughter, Katy George Balsamo and her husband, Darren; grandchildren, Shelby, Carter, Paxton, and Andrew Balsamo; sisters, Sue Holland and her husband, James, Marie Leake and her husband, Glen, and Rexine Cardin and her husband, Larry; brothers, Malcolm George and his wife, Nancy, and Jimmy George and his wife, Jennifer; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mike Rockett, Johnny Sweet, Ronnie Hall, Gary McGoogan, Jim Hall, William Dean, Tim Wood and Will Billberry.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brad Smith, Brody Telford, Edwin Davis, Ronnie Jones, Ronnie Anderson, Donnie Anderson and Bob Lane.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. today at Paron Baptist Church in Sterlington.
The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses and staff at St. Francis SICU and the seventh floor rehab.
