Mary Ann was the daughter of Sarah "Sally" Humphreys/Humphries and Aaron VanHook; she was the wife of Stephen Silvers.

The birth date information is from the 1900 US Census, where the respondents were asked the month and year of their birth. Since she was a widow at the time, it may be surmised that she answered this question herself. Her death date given in family trees is 20 Mar 1901; however, documentation of this is needed. 1901 should be considered an approximate date of death unless reliable direct evidence can be located.

There are only two "readable" headstones in this cemetery. One of them was hand made, and the name "Mary" is fairly plain. There is a photo of the cemetery on the facebook page for the Pulaski County Cemetery Board which shows these two headstones: https://www.facebook.com/229896367021169/photos/a.515334078477395.124274.229896367021169/515334308477372/?type=3&theater. The other is for Stephen Silvers; it was professionally done and provided by the US War Department.
