John Dennis Minton, Sr., 54, of Callahan, FL, passed away on March 12, 2016 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Murfreesboro, TN to the late Joseph Dennis and Marguerite Henderson Minton.
Johnny was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed playing golf, riding his motorcycles, and working in the yard.
Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his devoted wife of 29 years, Tammy L. Minton; children, Brittney N. Bishop (Paul) and John D. Minton, Jr. (Miranda); siblings, Judy Golden (Ray), Larry Minton, Sr. (Debbie), and Phillip Minton; grandchildren, Mason and Makenna Bishop; fur baby and best friend, Buddy; along with numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, March 17, 2016 in Calvary Baptist Church, 4040 Dunn Ave. Jacksonville, FL 32218 with visitation one hour prior to service. Burial in Jones Cemetery, Callahan, FL.
