After graduating from Monongahela High School, Norma was employed by the Daily Republican newspaper, the Pittsburgh Coal Company and later retired from Radio Ear Corporation in McMurray.
She was a member of the Riverview Baptist Church in New Eagle, where she was active in the G of F Class.
Surviving are two sons, Leonard A. Harmon and wife Sandee of Lee's Summit, Missouri and Keith R. Harmon of New Eagle; four grandchildren, Ryan Harmon and wife Wendy of Pleasanton, California, Renee Mead and husband Jason of Cecil Township, Melissa Harmon and husband Eddie Zuniga of Raymore, Missouri, Clint Harmon and fiancee Samantha Roach of Greensburg; and six great-grandchildren, Trevor, Brooklyn and Nathan Harmon of Pleasanton, California, Tyson and Kinsey Mead of Cecil Township, and Mazie Harmon of Greensburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Leonard E. Harmon who died May 22, 2006 and a brother, Leonard Smith.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 pm Monday, March 21, 2016 in the Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela where services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, March 22, 2016 with the Rev. Bruce Moses officiating. Interment will follow in the Monongahela Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Riverview Baptist Church, 405 Main Street, New Eagle, PA, 15067.
