Alice Hansen Bohling was born May 8, 1904, on the family farm near Arlington, Nebraska to Henry and Mary (Hartung) Plugge. She was baptized and confirmed in St. Paul's Lutheran Church north of Arlington.

She moved to Fremont, Nebraska in 1921 with her parents.

On Aug. 26, 1928, she married Edward T. Hansen in Pender, Nebraska. They farmed north of Ames, Nebraska until retiring and moving into Fremont, Nebraska in 1967. They were blessed with two children.

Sadly, Edward entered eternity in November 1971

On Jan. 5, 1979, she married Otto Bohling in Fremont. They lived in Fremont until she became a resident of Arbor Manor in Aug. 1992.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and was a former member of the Lutheran Women's League. She had also been very active in the Fremont Women's Bowling League.

Alice Hansen Bohling, 93, of Fremont died Monday, March 2, 1998, at Arbor Manor in Fremont.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont. Rev. Timothy Gierke will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery at Fremont. Visitation will be at Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and at the church Friday morning for an hour before service time.

Survivors include her husband, Otto; a daughter, Betty (Mrs. Gerald) Vondenkamp of Arlington; a son, Gerald (wife De) Hansen of Fremont; two step-sons, Gerald (wife Marilyn) Bohling and Kermit (wife Suzie) Bohling, all of rural Hooper; 14 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward; a daughter, Dorothy Stratton (1977); a sister, and five brothers.
