Joseph, 69 of Harrison passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland. Joe was the son of Donald Joseph and Virginia Ruth (Visnaw) Wade.

Joe had resided in Harrison since 1957 coming from Saginaw. Joseph graduated from Harrison Community Schools in 1965. Joe played football with the Harrison Hornets during his four years of High School.

On February 18, 1965, in Harrison, Joe was united in marriage to the former Carole Ann Morton.
Mr. Wade attended the First Congregational UCC, was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #2235 of Harrison, Golden Moose Club of Harrison and was co-founding father of Dancer’s subdivision Attitude Adjustment group.

Joe retired from Harrison Community Schools Custodial Department in 2003, after thirty three years of service. Joe spent a majority of his time at the Larson Elementary School Complex, where he considered his fellow employees, his second family. During his employment with Harrison Community Schools, Joe owned and operated Harrison Car Wash for ten years. After his retirement, Joe joined the Hayes Township maintenance and grounds upkeep department, where he worked four years.

Joe was an avid hunter, fisherman, bird hunter and outdoorsman and enjoyed his time spent camping with family and friends. He enjoyed hunting for and collecting Puddingstones, and on occasion, would tackle a rather large stone. With the help of his family, a shovel and a truck, a new yard ornament would appear.

Joe was a great pillar in the Harrison community and was a mentor to many youth and adults. He enjoyed visiting with family and friends, spoiling his grandchildren.

Mr. Wade was one of the Hornet Nations biggest and most loyal fans. In 2015, Joe was inducted into the Harrison Alumni Hall of Fame.
