Funeral services will be held for Chad Michael Hale, 45, of Chickasha, at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2016 in the First Assembly of God Church with Ezell Nelson officiating and Gary Layman assisting.

Chad Michael Hale was born in Franklin, Indiana on January 10, 1971, the son of Michael and Carol (Fleener) Hale. He passed away on March 18, 2016, at his home in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

He moved to Chickasha when he was four years old and graduated from Chickasha High School in 1989. He joined and served in the United States Army from 1989 to 1996 and during this time served in Desert Storm with C Battery 1-158 FA.

Chad married LaCresha Ann Tumelson on July 2, 1988 in Chickasha. They were married for 27 years and to this union their three children were born.

After leaving the Army he moved to Lubbock, Texas and began working in IT with telecommunication. In 2003, Chad moved back to Chickasha and started working at the Grady County Jail in law enforcement.

He loved spending time with his grandchildren, watching movies especially "Star Wars" and playing the drums. Chad enjoyed all outdoor sports including golf and paintball.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Robert Hale and grandparents Martin and Jessie (Sally) Fleener.

Survivors include his wife, LaCresha Hale of the home; one daughter and son-in-law KaSondra and Brandon Carlin of Ninnekah, son Bradley Hale of Chickasha and son and daughter-in-law Joshua and Reva Hale of Chickasha; three grandsons Jeremy, Hunter and Levi Carlin of Ninnekah; parents Michael and Carol Hale of Chickasha; sister and brother-in-law Mandy and Daryl Sheltry of Chickasha; grandmother JoAnn Hale of Chickasha; niece Haley Skinner and her family; nephew Tanner Sheltry; and other extended family and friends.

Services and interment will be in Fort Sill National Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
