Sarah "Sally" M. Beatty, of Broad Bay Road passed away, February 18, 2013. A native of Gloucester she was the daughter of the late John and Edna Hogge Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband Oscar L. Beatty and her two brothers Jesse and Edgar Moore. Mrs. Beatty was retired from Butler-Hartsell Insurance Company and was a former active member of Francis Asbury United Methodist Church. She also was a member of the 8Th Air Force Historical Society and the Exxon Annuitant Club. She is survived by her daughter Nancy E. Schaefer and husband Paul of Virginia Beach; son Louis O. Beatty and wife Dianne of Littleton, Co.; 4 grandchildren Angel B. Pritt, Pamela E. Beatty, Dr. Mark Schaefer, Todd Schaefer; and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday February 25, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in the Laskin Road Chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to Francis Asbury United Methodist Church.
