Carol Ann Adams Massey, 70, of Blackshear died Tuesday (March 15, 2016) at Hospice Satilla Hospice House after a brief illness. She was born in Indianapolis, IN to the late Charles Adams and Addie Jeanette Sandefur. Ms. Massey lived in Indiana for many years and in the Waycross area for several years where she worked at Wal-Mart in Waycross as a Cashier. She was of the Catholic faith. Ms. Massey always enjoyed playing games, reading and bowling.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her former husband, Gerald Ernest Collins, Sr.; one sister, Regina Taylor; one brother, Charles “Steamboat” Adams; one great-granddaughter, Abbie Gail Cardwell.

Survivors include three daughters, Ellen Ennis and her husband Ted of Blackshear, Christina Ennis and her husband Ronald of Waycross, Corrinda Sue Burgess of Lansing, MI; two sons, Gerald Collins, Jr. of Lakeland, FL and Earl Collins of Indianapolis, IN; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Mike Sandefur of Jacksonville, FL; Good Friend, Joe Donnelly of Indianapolis, IN; special cousin, Jeannie Lyden of Illinois; great aunt, Sister Ellen Marie Adams of Indiana; caregiver from Atlantic Home Aid, Pam Allday of Blackshear; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A graveside memorial service will be held Wednesday morning (March 23, 2016) at 11 am at Waters Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Satilla, 808 Evergreen Way, Waycross, GA 31501.
