HUNTER, Phyllis C.

Celebration of life service for Ms. Phyllis C. Hunter, 65, of Tampa, who passed March 10, 2016 will be held on Saturday, March 19, at 2 pm, at Heritage Christian Community Baptist Church, 14801 N. 15th Street, Lutz, with Rev. Dr. Delores James Cain, Pastor Officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Survived by daughter, Selecia (Gary) Watson; 4 special daughters, Sharlotte Hamilton, Karina Oliver, 2 others, who were very devoted, Rronniba Kamarakafego and Debbie (Maurice) Brown; 7 grands, including a loving, granddaughter, Audra (MeMe), Dontae Sr., Gary II, Dwayne Jr., Norma, Christopher and Tyler; four great-grands, devoted sister, Margaret Fulton (Annie M.); 3 nieces, cousins; a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends. Ms. Hunter was born on Aug. 16, 1950 in Ft. Myers. She relocated to Tampa, graduated from Howard W. Blake HS, in 1968. She confessed Christ and was baptized at an early age and was a former member of Macedonia M. B. Church. She later became a devoted member of Heritage Christian Community Baptist Church. Phyllis became an active advocate for Sickle Cell Disease. There will be a viewing on March 18, 5-8 pm, at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, and family will receive friends 6-7 pm. Friends are asked to assemble at the church on Saturday at approximately 1:45 pm, for the service.
