Alan (Hooch) Eugene Strange, 67, Paoli, died Sunday, March 13, 2016, at 10:35 a.m. at Indiana University Health Paoli Hospital.Born Dec. 15, 1948, in Valeene, he was the son of Palmer Strange and Betty Manship Strange. He was a retired teacher of furniture production at the old South Central Vocational School near Rego and a member of Paoli Wesleyan Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Elaine Strange. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, the former Pearl Elaine Wright; a daughter, Bridget Knight of Orleans; a son, Scotty Strange of Paoli; a brother, Danny Strange of Florida; a sister, Denise Denny of Bedford; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, March 16, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Paoli Wesleyan Church. Funeral: Thursday, March 17, at 11 a.m. at the church with burial in Rock Springs Cemetery near Hardinsburg. Officiant: Brother Lyndel Manship. Arrangements: McAdams Mortuary in Paoli.
