James Hollis East, 54 of 123 Mangrove Drive, Emerald Isle, died Tuesday at Craven Regional Medical Center in New Bern. He was the father of Mrs. Darlene Dennis of Greensboro.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Jones Funeral Home in Swansboro. Burial will be in Seaside Memorial Park in Swansboro with military honors.
East was the owner of Midway Park Tire, Co. and was retired from the Marine Corps.
Additional survivors include daughter, Mrs. Scharlene Browley of Emerald Isle, Mother Mrs. Mae East of Alexandra, Ark; brothers, Arlis East of Alexandra, Ark; sister, Mrs. Selma Cox of Little Rock, Ark.; three grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. today.
