Leon Parker, 81, of Lake Quivira, KS, passed away March 14, 2016.
Leon was an Army veteran, the owner of J.H. Thornton Co., Inc. for over 30 years and a member of the Lake Quivira Golf Country Club. Throughout his life he was a conservative Christian, active at Antioch Church, and a devoted and loving family man.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 56 years Janice Parker of the home, two daughters, Catherine Metcalf of Olathe, KS, Deon Dickens of Granbury, TX, son, Steven Parker of Los Angeles, CA, brother Harold Parker and wife, Geraldine, sister to Janice, of Cleveland, TN, grandchildren Chad Metcalf, Derek Metcalf, Brittany Hofrichter, Alexandrea Dickens, Jordan Dickens, Jakob Dickens, great grandchildren Kiersten Metcalf, Hazel Metcalf, Isaac Metcalf, Ann Metcalf, Liam Metcalf, Caden Hofrichter, Case Hofrichter and Kinley Hofrichter.
