Paul Jarvis, of Centerville, Texas, passed away suddenly on March 16, 2016 in Madisonville, Texas at the age of fifty-nine years. Graveside funeral services have been scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Sunday, March 20, 2016 at the North Creek Cemetery in rural eastern Leon County. Josh Jarvis, Paul’s youngest son, will officiate the service. A public visitation will be held from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on March 19th at the Walters Funeral Home in Centerville. Paul Eugene Jarvis was born on May 22, 1956 in Wellston, Ohio to Fred & Alene (Bishop) Jarvis. His family lived in Ohio and Florida for a short time, but Paul spent most of his childhood growing up in Pasadena, Texas. He remained in Pasadena until nineteen years ago when he and his family moved to their current residence in Leon County. Paul loved to work. Some people even considered him a workaholic. He had worked since the age of twelve and never thought of slowing down. His number one priority was his family and especially his grandchildren. He loved them with all of his heart. Paul also enjoyed cooking on his grill. He was a member of the North Creek Baptist Church. Paul was preceded in death by both of his parents and brothers, John & Fred Jarvis. His surviving family members include his wife of forty-three years, Brenda Jarvis of Centerville; sons, Paul E. (Joann) Jarvis, II of Humble, Michael L. (Betty) Jarvis of Huffman and Joshua C. (Melissa) Jarvis of Huntsville; brothers, Richard (Realie) Jarvis of Cleveland, Gerald (Rita) Jarvis of Houston, David (Kathy) Jarvis of Centerville & Carl (Renea) Jarvis of Pasadena and sisters, Ethel Reed, Mary (Donald) Shelton, Laurie Sims, Norma Duvall & Becky (Randall) Blakeney, all of Pasadena. Paul is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Justin, Valerie, Austin, Madisan, Malari, Maicee, Kendalynn, Elijah, Miranda, Trevor & Zoey. Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, Texas is in charge of all arrangements.
