A ROSY WEDDING
Nyack will have a notable wedding on Wednesday evening, June 18th in the Reformed Church, at 7 o'clock. Rev. John C. Van Deventer will perform the ceremony. Rev. Thomas McBride Nichols and Rev. Henry V. Voorhis, formerly pastor of the bride-elect, will assist.
The contracting parties are Mr. E. J. S. Van Houten and Miss Kate Lillian Blauvelt, daughter of Gen. and Mrs. J. H. Blauvelt of this village.
The following names compose the bridal party:
Master Walter Herbert Blauvelt, Miss Grace Estelle Blauvelt, Mr. David D. Smith Polhemus as best man, cousin of the bride, Nyack. Ushers—Dr. Louis A. Queen, New York city; Mr. Harry R. Blauvelt, brother of the bride, Nyack; Mr. James H. Mairs, Brooklyn; Mr. William G. Cook, New York city; Mr. J. Arthur Polhemus, cousin of the bride, Nyack; Mr. William Marshall. New York city; Mr. Carleton W. Boniface, New York city; Mr. L. C. S. Wade, New York city. Bridesmaids—Miss Bertha L. Pitkin, Nyack ; Miss Cornelia A. Pendleton, Brooklyn ; Miss Nettie Hutchings, Nyack; Miss Gertrude Sturtevant, Nyack; Miss Frances L. Gurnee, Nyack; Miss Rachel F. Webster, Boston. Mass.; Miss Anna L. The organist who will officiate is Mr. Rutinber, organist of Dr. Smyth's Church, in New York city. He is also a composer. Sweet strains of music will be discoursed at the reception by Philip Herfort's orchestra of New York city, known also as the fine orchestra of Long Beach Hotel.
It is said that no one will be permitted to enter the church unless holding an invitation admission card.
