Willie Charlene Perkins, 68, of San Angelo, passed away Friday, March 11, 2016, at her home surrounded by her children and loved ones. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 15, 2016, at Harriett Community Cemetery in Harriett, Texas.

She was born in San Angelo, Texas, to the late William Travis and Anna Bell Phillips. She enjoyed gardening, reading, spending time with her grandchildren, being pampered by her loved ones, and always surrounded herself with the people she loved. Her house was always open to anyone who needed a home and a helping hand. She was a classy businesswoman who made her own way in the world and never let anyone make her decisions. She had a heart full of love and knew exactly what to say in any situation. She was not only a mother of six but a mother to everyone who walked through her door.

She was preceded in death by sisters: Hazel Booth, Ethel Fenwick, Lola Leatherman, and Dorothy Miller; and brothers, Millard Phillips and Clyde Phillips.

Survivors include her daughters: Sanda McNiel, of San Angelo, Shella Perkins, of Fort Worth, and Shara Beard, of San Angelo; sons: Billy Perkins, of San Angelo, Willie Perkins, of Lubbock, and John Perkins, of Pueblo, Colorado; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Jane Ross and Janelle Allen; many other relatives and friends.
