Charlcie Annabelle Grindstaff Holden, 78, of Newton, died Monday, March 29, 2004 at her residence.

Born August 23, 1925 in Avery County, she was a daughter of Isaac Grindstaff and Zelphia Greer Grindstaff. She was a member of The Revealed Word Assembly in Lenoir and was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Holden.

Survivors include sons, Danny Holden of Icard and Richard Holden of Maiden; daughters, Alma Lutz of Newton and Mary Holden of Claremont; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday March 31 2004 at 3:00 pm at Catawba Funerals & Cremations and will be conducted by Rev David Pollard Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park

Pallbearers will be family.
