Jennie M. Cole, of Federal Way (formerly of Bellevue), died on November 13, 2015, at her home at Brookdale Foundation House. Franciscan Hospice had been managing her care since late August. She was 99.
Jennie was born on June 15, 1916, in Spokane Washington, the daughter of Joseph and Rosaria Anselmo. She was the 2nd youngest of 10 children. She was raised in Spokane and graduated from Holy Names Academy. She met her future husband, Arthur B. Cole, Jr., at Gonzaga High School, where she was the Registrar and he was an instructor. They were married for 57 years until Art’s death in 2003.
Survivors include her children, Barbara A. Cole-Smith of Auburn, Arthur B. Cole III (Kaye) of Woodinville; grandchildren Scott Smith, Anthony Cole and Allycia Cole; three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held on November 18, 2015, at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 9450 NE 14th, Clyde Hill, WA 98004. Reception immediately following mass at the church. A committal service will follow at Sunset Hills Memorial Park at 2:00 pm.
